Bilge, 25, studied mechatronics, robotics and automation technology in Karlsruhe and wanted to put his theoretical knowledge into practice afterwards. That’s why he applied to Capgemini Engineering at the VDI Online Recruiting Day in 2021 – and was able to start his career at our new campus in Wolfsburg. There, our focus is on forward-looking topics to shape the mobility of tomorrow.

BILGE, HOW DID YOU BECOME AWARE OF CAPGEMINI ENGINEERING?
Capgemini Engineering was already a well-known consulting company for me. When I saw that the company was represented at the VDI Online Recruiting Day, I immediately signed up to take the opportunity to get to know the team. The career fair was a great chance to get first insights into the working world of Capgemini Engineering, to ask my specific questions about joining the company as well as to convince the team about me personally.

 

HOW DID YOU EXPERIENCE THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
Only two weeks passed between the trade fair and the signing of the contract. That’s why I perceived the entire application phase as fast and effective, but also professional and appreciative. I also found it particularly positive that during the interview I was directly presented with projects that fit my individual strengths.

The next steps from joining the company to familiarisation also went very well. I am very grateful that Capgemini Engineering supported me, for example, when I moved from Karlsruhe to Wolfsburg.

 

AND HOW ARE YOU DOING AFTER 5 MONTHS AT CAPGEMINI ENGINEERING?
My expectations have been completely fulfilled. I am particularly excited about my exciting project with a renowned client. I was quickly given responsibility to coordinate our Online Connectivity Unit, to push it further as well as to bring new innovations & comfort features on the road.

Furthermore, I feel really well taken care of at Capgemini Engineering. We all work here as equals – from junior consultants to the CEO. Not only am I perceived by my superiors as an important part of the team, I can also develop individually along the career path.
