A home goods retailer with many physical stores had a very basic web application with limited functionality for online sales.   • The retailer engaged Capgemini Engineering to develop and build an omnichannel e-commerce and m-commerce solution. The client specified three elements:
  • Revamp the existing web application with intuitive user design, including new business-critical functionality Develop iOS and Android mobile applications for the m-commerce solution
  • Develop a middleware application to create a consistent interface of web and mobile solutions integrating third-party logistics solutions, order tracking, multiple data warehouses, and a dedicated server to manage user data and product information
