Altran named Solution Plus Partner in Intel® Network Builders Winners´ Circle Program

Altran, part of Capgemini, is honored to have been selected recently for an Intel® Network Builders (INB) Winners’ Circle award as a Solution Plus Partner. The distinction places Altran within a select group of partners that are well positioned to drive digital innovation and are aligned to Intel’s mission to accelerate network transformation and edge innovation. Altran is also a member of the Intel AI Builders.

The mission of the Intel Builders partner programs is to enable leading solution providers to work collaboratively to optimize innovative solutions based on Intel® architecture. The fast-growing INB ecosystem focuses on accelerating network transformation by providing members with technical support, technology training, technology matchmaking, co-marketing opportunities and more.

“Altran is part of the Intel Builders ecosystems,” said Maria Adolf, Vice President and Managing Director, Strategic Semiconductor Accounts at Altran. “As a Solution Plus partner, we are well positioned to deliver solutions to our customers for world-class data centers, switches, 5G and edge computing infrastructure built around technology from Intel and INB ecosystem companies.”

Intel’s selection of Altran as a Winners’ Circle Solution Plus Partner is based on years of close collaboration to bring innovative, mature and feature-rich frameworks and solutions to market on Intel platforms. This partnership is led by Altran’s Software Frameworks and Solutions (SFS) team, which creates software frameworks and solutions for wireless, networking, IoT, automation, smart vehicle, cloud and edge computing markets.

“Our relationship with Intel is multilateral,” said Masood Amin, Vice President and Head of Product Management, SFS at Altran. “Intel is not just about CPUs. It is an important strategic partner in many emerging technologies.”

A few of the latest INB collaborations include:

  • Altran integrated Intel edge compute libraries and accelerators (OpenNESS and OpenVINO) in its edge compute platform (ENSCONCE), enabling a wide range of telco MEC and industrial edge use cases. Learn more in our August 2020 press release.
  • Intel and Altran collaborated on a 5G transport program to create white-box fronthaul gateway designs based on an Intel FPGA with Fronthaul FPGA IP and Altran network software. The Altran disaggregated fronthaul framework enables wireless carriers and network equipment manufacturers to accelerate large-scale and scalable 5G fronthaul deployment. See our 2019 press release for details.
  • Altran (and earlier as Aricent) and Intel have been long-standing partners in the 4G and 5G RAN space. We offer feature rich and mature pre-integrated base station (CU/DU) frameworks with Intel’s FlexRAN software reference architecture for both Sub6 and mmWave solutions for the OEM ecosystem with the flexibility to run on bare metal or virtualized/containerized environments.
  • Altran works alongside Intel to create unique solutions for private 5G (smart city, industrial, enterprise) and telco use cases. One example is a 5G roadside unit (RSU) reference offering combining Altran’s RAN, core and edge components with computer vision applications for smart city traffic management.

“The Altran-Intel relationship is over a decade old, and every year it grows stronger,” said Adolf. “As 5G deployments and autonomous driving, smart city and smart factory infrastructure investments accelerate, Altran will continue to expand our engagement with the Intel Builders programs to create more value for ecosystem companies and our mutual customers in the years to come.”

Each year, the Intel Network Builders Program recognizes industry leaders driving the next wave of technical innovation through the Winner’s Circle Awards," said Keate Despain, Intel Network Builders Director, Intel Corporation. "We are honored to announce Altran among the awarded partners in our 400+-member-strong ecosystem who are working to accelerate the development of cloud-ready solutions for network infrastructure and edge deployments.
